This Privacy Notice outlines important details about how the software GRUPO MEDLEGAL mobile device application (“Application”) and online services including www.grupomedlegal.com (“Websites”) developed by MEDLEGAL NETWORK, INC., a California corporation with its principle offices in Santa Monica, California (“us” or “we”), collects and uses your information. The Application and Websites are individually and collectively referred to as “the Services” in this Privacy Notice.

The Services allow you to report your work, personal injury, or car accident cases to reGrupo MedLegal connects consumers with participating lawyers and/or doctors and in no case provides legal or medical advice nor does it intend to be a law firm, lawyer referral service or medical provider.ceive immediate legal and medical assistance. We can also notify your emergency contacts of your exact location and the type of accident or an immigration capture incident.

1. Type of Information Collected

We collect two types of information, User Provided Information and Automatically Collected Information.

a. User Provided Information

The Services may obtain information you provide when you download, access, and/or register with the Services. Registration with us is optional. However, please keep in mind that you may not be able to use some of the features offered by the Services unless you register with us.

When you use or register to use the Services, you may be asked to provide information such as:

i. your name, email address, age, user name, password and other registration information;
ii. information you provide us when you contact us for help with the Services;
iii. credit card information for purchase and use of the Services;
iv. information stored by another application or service such as contacts listed in your mobile device phone book or social media contacts (e.g., Facebook friends); and/or
v. information related to an incident (e.g., an accident or an immigration capture incident) you report to us, including, without limitation, the personally identifiable information of you or of third-parties, contacts, notifications, witness statements, reports (including emergency reports and reports related to a car accident, work injury, personal injury, or immigration-related event or emergency, and reports relating to you or to third-parties), photographs, videos, audio recordings, paycheck stubs or other payroll information, and insurance information and driver’s license information relating to you or to third-parties, and consent to being contacted by us and/or third parties utilizing such information.

b. Automatically Collected Information

The Services may automatically collect certain information from or about the computers, phones, or other devices where you install or access the Services. Examples of information automatically collected include:

i. device attributes, such as the operating system, hardware version, device settings, file and software names and types, battery and signal strength, and device identifiers;
ii. device locations, such as those detected using GPS, cell, Bluetooth, or WiFi signals;
iii. connection information, such as the name of your mobile operator or Internet Service Provider, browser type, language, time zone, mobile phone number, and IP address; and/or
iv. information about the way you use the Services.

The Automatically Collected Information does not include personally identifiable information and you can remain anonymous to us unless you provide personally identifiable information. Your web browser may support control of the sharing of the Automatically Collected Information. For some devices, you can disable collection of certain information such as geolocation through your account settings or in the settings of the device you use to access the Services.

Third-parties may be using cookies, web beacons, and other technologies to collect information as a result of using the Services or advertisements served through the Services such as via Google AdMob (https://www.google.com/admob/) or Google Analytics (https://www.google.com/analytics). This Privacy Notice does not cover any use of information that such third-parties themselves collect or may have collected from you.

2. How Collected Information Is Used by Grupo MedLegal

We may use User Provided Information and Automatically Collected Information for internal purposes such as:

i. providing, improving, or developing the Services;
ii. communicating with you and/or an identified contact regarding an incident you report to us;
iii. communicating with you such as about the Services, policies, terms, or responding to your requests for assistance with the Application;
iv. conduct research and measurement activities; and/or
v. reviewing accounts and activities to promote the safety and security of the Services.

3. How Collected Information Is Shared by Grupo MedLegal

We may share User Provided Information and Automatically Collected information with third-parties. We may disclose User Provided Information and Automatically Collected information:

i. as required by law, such as to comply with a court order or statutory requirement;
ii. when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
iii. if the Services are included in a merger, acquisition, or sale with the appropriate notice provided to you via email and/or prominent notice on our Websites;
iv. with vendors or other service providers supporting the Services, such as technical infrastructure service providers, analytic service providers, advertisement service providers, or software engineers; and/or
v. as directed by you such as regarding an incident for which you are seeking assistance.

4. How To Opt-Out of Collection

You can stop collection of information by the Application by uninstalling the Application. The standard uninstall process on the device or an application store can be used to remove the Application. You can stop collection of information by the Websites by refraining from accessing the Websites. You may also be able to control collection of information through the privacy settings of the web browser you use to access the Websites.

You can also opt-out of collection by any of the Services by contacting us in writing using our contact information above.

5. California Do Not Track Disclosures

The Services do not follow the do not track settings. As noted above, some third party sites and services track your online activities as part of delivering content which may be integrated in to the Services. This tracking information may be used to identify what is presented to you. Google Analytics is an example of one such service. Some third party sites and services honor the do not track settings for your web browser.

6. Privacy and Children

The federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) governs information collection from children under the age of 13. We do not market to children under the age of 13 nor do we solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, please contact us in writing using our contact information above. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

7. Security and The Application

We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we use SSL encryption and require Authorization via access token for sensitive API calls. You also have a responsibility for security by adhering to the Terms and Conditions for the Services.

8. Storing and Managing Collected Information

We will retain User Provided Information for as long as you use the Services and for a reasonable time thereafter. You can modify certain User Provided Information using the account management features of the Services. If you’d like us to modify or delete User Provided Information that you have provided via the Services, please contact us in writing using the contact information above and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Information may be required for the Services to function as advertised.

We will retain Automatically Collected Information for up to 60 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate.

Whether User Provided Information or Automatically Collected Information, we will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

9. Updates to the Privacy Notice

We may modify our Privacy Notice from time to time. The most recent version is posted at https://grupomedlegal.com/privacidad. In the event that we make a significant change to our privacy practices, we will send you a message using the contact information for your account. You are advised to consult this Privacy Notice regularly for any changes, as your continued use of the Services is deemed approval of all changes.

10. Data Processing and Third-Party Information Consent

This Privacy Notice outlines our data practices for the Services and should not be construed as establishing a contractual relationship.

While using the Services, your User Provided Information and Automatically Collected Information will be processed as set forth in this Privacy Notice now and as amended by us. “Processing,” includes using cookies on your device and/or using or accessing information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining, and disclosing information consistent with this Privacy Notice. If you reside outside the United States, please be aware that any Personal Information collected and/or provided in connection with the Services will be transferred from your country to the United States or other jurisdictions. While using the Services, your information will be transferred, processed, and/or stored in the United States or other jurisdictions and under United States privacy standards.

As a reminder of your obligations under the Terms and Conditions for the Application or the Websites, you must obtain consent for processing of User Provided Information of third-parties you disclose via the Services. If you become aware that you provided third-party information without consent of the third-party, please contact us in writing using our contact information above. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time
